ARROW
First Arrow is a short film created while following Silvère Jarrosson during the creation process of his upcoming exhibition inspired by Saint Sébastien: “Rouge - Silvère Jarrosson autour du martyre de saint Sébastien” at Musée Bossuet - Meaux from 10 October 2026 to 31 January 2027.
The film was created as part of our All About Aesthetics (AAA) series and is part of our ongoing work with artists, part of how FRAAAMES works. We spend time inside a practice, then build an image around it: editorial, film, and conversation.

An arrow releases from a tight bow. It starts the sequence, spills red across the frame, and pulls the camera with it.
We zoom out slowly, like the arrow is coming for you, the viewer. The bowstring keeps cracking. It sits in your chest as unease.
White paint spills over. The artist himself upside down. His paint bottle follows, marking the shift from zooming out to in. The viewer becomes the arrow now, piercing through the frames.
A sudden, microscopic sound cuts through, matched to the precision behind what looks like an effortless choreography.
The paint moves like it's being danced with. The rhythm turns chaotic. Focus lands on the paint itself, pierced by the arrow that opened the film.
